P.J. Washington to Orlando is not an ideal fit, but he is much too talented to pass on at 16. Regarded by some as a top-ten talent, the Magic would get a very solid bench piece behind Aaron Gordon to bolster their rotation for a more serious playoff run than they had this past year.

Whether Atlanta believes Kevin Huerter is the long-term starter at the shooting guard position, taking another player at the position is necessary for two reasons. The first is the fact that he is the best player on the board at 17, and the second is the shooting guard position is Atlanta’s weakest. Romeo Langford provides a nice mid range and dribble drive compliment to Huerter’s perimeter-centered game.

Unfortunately for Indiana, Mike Conley has been shipped to Utah and there are no worthy point guards left on the board when their name is called. The team ends up taking Nickeil Alexander-Walker, who as a combo guard can serve as a stopgap at the two until Victor Oladipo returns or as a point guard.

The Spurs have an affinity for international prospects like no other, and Gregg Popovich always seems to get the best out of them. Goga Bitadze has made noticeable strides in his game this season, even developing a bit of a three point shot. The old-school Spurs could use a modern NBA center to fill the hole left by Pau Gasol.

In the last PAE mock, I stated that Grant Williams could serve as a quality role player immediately in Boston. If he is selected by the Celtics, he won’t have a choice but to be an instant impact player. Williams will most certainly see steady minutes with the fall of Ainge’s empire in need of phenomenal bench play.
