2019 NBA Mock Draft: Draft day final mock post-Conley, Snell trades
On Wednesday, two trades shook up the first round of the NBA Draft: a trade for Mike Conley and for Tony Snell. Here’s our updated 2019 NBA Mock Draft.
The more glamorous of the two trades was the deal that sent long-time Grizzlies’ franchise player Mike Conley to Utah in exchange for Grayson Allen, Kyle Korver, Jae Crowder, the 23rd pick in today’s draft, and a protected 2020 first round pick. Here we can take a look at our updated 2019 NBA Mock Draft after all that went down.
This deal was phenomenal for both teams, as the Jazz finally get a backcourt partner for young stud Donovan Mitchell, while Memphis gets a nice haul of picks and a young player in Grayson Allen to add to their stash of building blocks.
The second trade to go down on Wednesday was late that night, in which the Milwaukee Bucks sent Tony Snell and the 30th pick in today’s draft to Detroit in exchange for John Leuer. The move was a swap of bad salaries which gives Detroit an extra late first round pick and alleviates them of $4 million in cap space.
With these two trades affecting the draft order, yet another mock draft is necessary. In this mock, picks 1-38 will be chosen and analyzed, including a brief synopsis of each player’s fit with their new team and their ranking as an overall prospect. This 2019 NBA Mock Draft assumes that all teams will keep their current picks tonight, including for the Chicago Bulls.
