Bulls receive: No. 5 overall pick, J.R. Smith, cash considerations

Cavs receive: No. 7 overall pick, Future first-round pick top-five protected

If the Bulls pull off either of these trades, more than likely they want Coby White and to jump the Phoenix Suns who sit at No. 6. This also means, either the Pelicans or another team selected Darius Garland at No. 4.

If the Bulls want White or decide Culver or Hunter are the future they would certainly land one of the three instead of settling for the Cavaliers and Suns leftovers.

Bottom Line:

Let’s have some wishful thinking heading into draft night because this class is deeper and you can find talent in this class from the beginning to the end. If Bulls management makes a deal draft night, it’s going to be moving up to No. 4 and getting their future, or trading back to acquire two picks and any future assets possible.
