The bottom line with Patrick Beverley
Beverley posted 7.6 points per game, 5.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 40.7 field goal percent, and 39.7 percent from three in his potential final season with the Clippers and his defensive intensity would certainly improve what was, to say the least, a depleted unit last season that finished 25th overall in defensive rating (112.8).
The Bulls hold the seventh overall pick in the draft and many believe they will elect to select a point guard and upgrade for Kris Dunn rather than sign one, but with trade rumors surrounding draft night, the Bulls find themselves in talks with multiple teams.
“There’s a growing belief around the league” Chicago is open to trading everyone besides the 2017 and 2018 first round picks Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr., according to The Athletic.
Whether or not Chicago can come to an agreement financially with Beverley or they sign/draft another guard, it’s clear judging by Beverley’s Twitter he wants to play for Chicago.

It’s clear from this long string of tweets that Beverley has interest in returning to his hometown, the Windy City, through free agency this summer.
