Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum proved to the world that Portland does not have any backcourt issues, thus leading the Blazers to drafting a big. In this case, that player is Daniel Gafford. Gafford’s rebounding and defense will be helpful for playoff runs on Portland’s bench.

With the second of two first round picks, the Cavs will look to address the center position for the long-term. Naz Reid is not a volume scoring or modern big, but his defense and rebounding could develop him into a very solid player.

Brooklyn moved their own first round picks this year and next year. This combined with the fact that they are picking late in the first round, they should swing for the fences on Carsen Edwards. With Kyrie Irving likely on the way and Spencer Dinwiddie off the bench, Brooklyn’s backcourt will be crowded but full of potential with Edwards in the mix.
