This will be a controversial add to a list for the Chicago Bulls since a good portion of the fan base loves what the former Duke wing Cam Reddish brings to the table in terms of pure talent. The fluidity, length, and athleticism of Reddish are the factors that draw so many scouts and fans to him for the 2019 NBA Draft.
What should turn the Bulls away from Reddish in this draft class is his inability to hit open looks, high turnover percentage, and lack of quality appearances during his freshman campaign at Duke. No matter what spotlight Reddish fell under, the numbers he posted at Duke are hard to excuse.
Any player that was projected to potentially be a first overall pick in this draft that posted a player efficiency on a team as good as Duke at 13.6 clearly has problems to overcome. That is the situation that is facing Reddish at the moment. He also shot under 36 percent from the field and around 33 percent from beyond the arc.
There are just too many red flags for the Bulls to take a risk on Reddish. He likely won’t be able to play in the starting five right away, and the odds that he doesn’t reach his very high ceiling is also great. Where Reddish should rely on his skill set at the next level falls with his defense. His length and quick hands could at least allow him to thrive on the defensive end of the floor right away.
