The Atlantic Division of the NBA is certainly a competitive one, and the Chicago Bulls should look into moves with teams in this division.

As the Chicago Bulls look to expedite the rebuilding process, the team could look to the NBA’s Atlantic Conference to do so. With nearly all of the teams in the Atlantic Division looking to be contenders in 2019-2020, the Bulls could take part in helping these teams prepare to win now while the contenders help them to win in the future.

While many possible trades with this division could be salary dumps, there are a few moves to be made that mutually benefit both teams in the now and in the future. The Bulls are in a unique position where they have draft capital, young pieces, and cap space to work with, making them a very flexible and intriguing trade partner.

In the first slideshow of a new series in which I will propose one trade between the Bulls and NBA team, this article will propose and analyze one trade between Chicago and each team in the Atlantic conference. These trades will be proposed as if finished before the 2019 NBA Draft.

Across the board, the Atlantic Division is going to have a big say in the shape up of the Eastern Conference next season. Depending on how things shake out for the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets in free agency, there could be a title contending that comes out of this division.

Here’s a deeper dive into just a few of the trades that the Chicago Bulls might be able to pull off this summer with teams from the talented and deep Atlantic Division.
