The Chicago Bulls hosted ex-Michigan players Charles Matthews, Jordan Poole, and Ignas Brazdeikis during pre-draft workouts.
All three of the aforementioned Michigan Wolverines standouts that the Chicago Bulls worked out this month could be available in the second round at No. 38. Which of the three fits the Bulls best?
The Chicago Bulls held a couple of private workouts over the past three weeks in preparation for this month’s NBA Draft and while their first round pick will be whoever falls in their lap at seven overall; Chicago has hosted dozens of potential second round picks for the 38th overall selection.
The chances of Chicago’s second round selection coming from Michigan has increased over the past two weeks as the Bulls have been attracted to the Wolverines’ trio of Ignas Brazdeikis, Charles Matthews and Jordan Poole.
All three were Michigan’s leading scorers led by the one-and-done Brazdeikis leading the bunch at 14.8 points per game. Each of the three players are graded as second round talent while Brazdeikis and Poole have a chance at sneaking into the end of the first round based off their talent projection.
Charles Matthews, on the other hand, tore his ACL working out with the Boston Celtics this past weekend and will likely become a priority free agent.
Michigan was a favorite to win the National Championship this season under now Cleveland Cavaliers’ Head Coach John Beilein, and their trio, but Texas Tech’s Cinderella run ended their 30-7 season in the Sweet 16.
With under two weeks away from the draft night, we take a look at how they fit the Chicago Bulls rebuild starting now.
