The two names that continually surround the Chicago Bulls and the seventh overall pick are Duke’s Cam Reddish and North Carolina’s Coby White. White would fill a positional need, but Reddish’s upside is too high for the Bulls to pass on in the middle of the lottery. As a consequence, the Bulls will have to address the point guard position either in the second round or in free agency.
With the first of three selections in the top-seventeen, the Hawks take Brandon Clarke in order to fill the void left by Taurean Prince. Clarke is a phenomenal defender who has shown offensive promise as well. Very arguably the best defensive player in this class, he will look to compensate for Trae Young‘s poor defensive instincts. Although primarily a defender, Clarke also shows solid offensive promise.
Although guard may not appear to be a positional need for the playoff-hopeful Wizards, White is much too highly regarded of a player to pass on him. In addition, it is very possible that Washington decides to move on from star guard Bradley Beal, and Coby White would be a solid replacement as a combo guard.
