12. Jerian Grant

Since leaving the Bulls in a three-team trade, Jerian Grant has gained some playing time with the Orlando Magic.

It remains unclear if he has found his footing in this league at the point guard position.

Many will agree Grant plays better basketball as a shooting guard. For one thing, the Magic acquired another former Bulls star Michael Carter-Williams to fill a need for point guard depth heading into the 2019 playoffs. Not to forget to mention the Magic secured a midseason trade to acquire point guard Markelle Fultz, the former top draft pick of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Grant was one of several acquired by the Bulls in the 2016 blockbuster deal that sent Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks. At the time, the Bulls wanted to get a close look at Grant after missing the opportunity to draft him the year before.

The Bulls organization had hopes Grant might fill a need at point guard, but inconsistency and competition for minutes may have played a part in ending his tenure in the Windy City.

Grant is a restricted free agent this summer. The Magic will have bird rights if the organization wants to re-sign him.
