Let’s take a look at 13 current and former Chicago Bulls point guards that help embody the reasons why the Bulls are currently on the wrong side of history.

It is about that time of year when NBA executives are evaluating their team’s strengths and weaknesses. The journey to rebuild the Chicago Bulls organization has taken the franchise in more directions than one.

Knowing what the Warriors have accomplished so far during the post-season may be good for the league, but it’s bad for Bulls history.

Why, you ask?

The history books are being rewritten as we know it, and the Bulls’ legacy is taking a hit.

But, of course, the optics of the Bulls’ rebuild wouldn’t look so bad, if not for the way the organization parted ways with Derrick Rose.

Since trading Rose, the Bulls have struggled to maintain relevancy in the league. Those problems likely won’t subside in time for the 2019 NBA Draft or during free agency, which begins June 30.

I’ll be one to admit I’m hoping the Bulls will consider signing Rose this summer, but fantasy is not reality and truth is stranger than fiction.

What I can say is the narrative surrounding the Bulls organization and the former MVP is not over. If not this summer, one day in the years to come, the Bulls may want to look into signing Rose, even if in a celebratory gesture, to close out his career whenever that time comes.

The way I see it is the Bulls still owe Rose for all he’s done for the city of Chicago. Don’t call it a curse. Don’t call it an omen. But, whatever you call it, know that the Bulls still have a chance to reverse the trajectory of where the franchise is headed.

As history denotes, the Bulls have had some issues in recent years getting the most out of trade deals and free agency particularly to find a point guard as talented as Rose.

Let’s take a close look at 13 current and former Bulls point guards and where they are now.
