It would take a lot for the Lakers to want to separate with both former Duke Blue Devils small forward Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball. Those are two of the most important pieces of that young core in Los Angeles. Both players are also on team-friendly deals that don’t cost all that much.

What would the Chicago Bulls need to give up in order to get the return of Ingram and Ball? Since we’re including Kris Dunn in on each of these deals, he’s still going to the Lakers here. The Bulls will also send to-be second-year former Duke center Wendell Carter Jr. and former Boise State Broncos wing Chandler Hutchison.

The Lakers would get to keep the depth present in their lineup at the spots that it would be losing out on by shipping out Ingram and Ball. Dunn and Hutchison are by no means capable replacements right away for Lonzo and Ingram, but that’s why Carter Jr. and the seventh overall pick are included.

Carter Jr. and Hutchison would also command similar price tags to that of Ingram and Ball. This does still seem like the Lakers would be slighted in a way, but it is a framework that has backing to it. The Bulls could modernize the rotation a bit with Carter Jr. moving out of the five and more capable guards and wings coming into the mix.
