2019 NBA Mock Draft: Two-round post-lottery mock
They say the number seven is lucky, and the third time is a charm. If these sayings are correct, Cam Reddish will turn out to be exactly the player he was thought to be in high school. His great size, defense, and shooting potential make him an ideal modern small forward prospect.
Reddish was once heralded as the next Paul George and was considered a candidate for the first pick in this year’s draft, but he had major troubles playing alongside superstars Zion and Barrett and his stock plummeted (much like the Bulls pick).
With no clear answer as to who to select at seven, the Bulls ought to swing for the fences and hope the former top-three player in the high school class of 2018 pans out to be the high-profile prospect he was thought to be one year ago.
My condolences to the city of Atlanta, as the Hawks were by far the biggest losers of the 2019 NBA Lottery. Both of Atlanta’s picks fell further than expected, however they still come away with two top-ten selections.
Jaxson Hayes was expected to be drafted by Atlanta anyways, but not with their first pick. The Hawks come away with their big man of the future and hope he can make up for Trae Young’s lack of defensive ability.
