Pick Analysis. Center. 170. Scouting Report. Florida State University. Mfiondu Kabengele. 36. player

Perhaps a hidden gem in the second round, the Charlotte Hornets take a project center with their early second round pick. Mfiondu Kabengele had impressive stats at over 13 points and 5.9 rebounds per game in just over 20 minutes per game at FSU. He has shown strides on the defensive side of the floor and on the perimeter, giving scouts a glimpse of what could be a future modern NBA center.

Scouting Report. 37. player. 79. Pick Analysis. Forward. Oregon University. Louis King

Louis King was considered a first-round prospect in the beginning of the college season, but has seemed to fall off draft boards for some strange reason. A top prospect in high school, the Mavericks get a starting-caliber player in King with a second-round pick and their first pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Pick Analysis. Center. Western Kentucky University. Charles Bassey. 38. Scouting Report. player. 24

On my Chicago Bulls big board, I had Charles Bassey as a top twenty-five prospect in this draft. Although I have high expectations for the big man, most do not see him as close to a first round talent. Bassey is the Mitchell Robinson of this draft- a highly-rated big who seemed to slip in draft stock after a strange decision with regard to college.

Reclassifying to the class of 2018, Bassey was forgotten about by many when choosing to go to a small school, despite the fact that he was a top-ten recruit in high school. Still eighteen years old until October, Bassey is still extremely young and has a very high ceiling. He could serve as the long-term solution at backup center behind Wendell Carter Jr. as the Bulls look to bolster the bench.
