Matisse Thybulle to Philadelphia is a dream situation for Philadelphia, as he is considered by many to be a first round-caliber player. An atrocious player on offense, his value is found on the defensive side of the floor where he is arguably the best defender in the draft.

Almost the polar opposite of their last pick in Thybulle, the 76ers opt to take an offensive-minded player in Shamorie Ponds. Ponds played at a small school in St. John’s and may not be an impact player for some time, but Ponds can be a decent depth player and provide scoring off the bench for the Sixers.

A Chicago kid, Talen Horton-Tucker will take his talents to Atlanta and join the Hawks great young core. In the first round Atlanta was able to address the center and shooting guard positions, but must wait until the early second round to take a wing.

Horton-Tucker is very undersized to play the small forward, but in an age of positionless basketball this is not too major of a concern for the Hawks.
