What the Chicago Bulls would get with Lonzo Ball

Trading for Lonzo Ball allows the Lakers to change direction and the Chicago Bulls to get a significant upgrade in the facilitator department. Ball’s extraordinary arsenal as a passer gives him a chance to thrive in the Bulls uniform.

How Lonzo gets to the Bulls could be subject to any trade the Lakers might have on their radar. In other words, whether this situation could play out as a simple swap or a piece of a multi-team trade will be something to monitor.

The cleanest way this works out is doing a point guard flip with the Lakers, hoping they’ll view Dunn as a less dramatic, but less good Lonzo Ball. Kris Dunn plays good defense, but definitely gets a little loose with the basketball and does commit fouls too frequently, not unlike Ball. In a lot of ways, Lonzo Ball’s style of play is akin to Dunn’s, Ball just does it all better than the Chicago guard, however.
