3. Chicago Bulls search for a star ends

What the Chicago Bulls were looking for so long would finally come to an end if Zion Williamson lands in the Windy City. Landing Zion takes a lot of the emphasis off having to do such efficient work in free agency this summer and more about building the roster up around him with capable pieces.

The search for a star player to either put alongside the current superstar at hand for the Bulls or just to upgrade the roster didn’t go well in the past decade. John Paxson and Gar Forman were unable to find that superstar the team needed to place alongside former Bulls stars Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose.

Moreover, the Bulls could now get their hands on a rising star like Zion that would be able to make an immediate impact and potentially bring this team to prominence and playoff contention in the East. Landing Zion could also attract other stars that then might be willing to take a pay cut or be more willing to be traded to the Bulls.

Most NBA fans would be the least bit surprised if Zion winds up becoming that once in a generation type talent that doesn’t come along very often. He was highly touted from the time he was coming out of Spartanburg Day School as the nation’s No. 5 overall 2018 high school prospect.
