What LeBron James would mean for the Chicago Bulls

Since the Chicago Bulls are actually considered among the best potential landing spots by a few national media outlets if he does hit the trade market, what would he bring to the Windy City? This is an interesting question that poses any number of answers.

The issue for the Bulls in the long-term plan for bringing LeBron into the mix is his age. LeBron will be 35-years-old when the 2020 NBA Playoffs arrive. Yet, the opportunity to get one or two years where he is still one of the world’s best players is too hard to pass up on. He could make the Bulls title contenders immediately.

More players from around the NBA set to hit the free agent market this summer would be attracted to taking a pay cut to come to Chicago and play next to LeBron. This would be an all-around positive idea for the Bulls for the next two seasons. But, the front office would also immediately scrap the plan to rebuild.

A player like LeBron that could still average around 25.0 points per game, 8.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists in an efficient manner is too good to pass up on. He could also bridge this lineup together and bring more versatility to a starting five that needs more depth and talent. The experience he would bring to the table as a three-time NBA Champion would also bring a lot to this young locker room.
