How the Chicago Bulls fit into the LeBron James picture

Back in the day in the summer of 2010, LeBron James held the most difficult decision of any player in the NBA. He needed to determine if it was best for him to return to Cleveland and try and finally bring a title back to his hometown or if he should jump ship and find his footing in title contention elsewhere.

When LeBron was originally trying to decide where to take his talents to next the first time he left Cleveland, the Chicago Bulls almost where able to bring him and D-Wade into the mix. But, it was the Heat that won out for keeping Wade and bringing LeBron into the mix since the Bulls had too much money locked up in other contacts.

Yet, this could be yet another off-season where LeBron hits the open market and is up for the highest bidder. If he does leave Los Angeles, which probably won’t happen, it’s likely that he’ll want to land with another big market team. That’s where coming to the Windy City and joining the Bulls could actually become a reality.

The latest odds for where LeBron will play his first game for the 2019-20 regular season still obviously favors the Lakers. A good portion of the other teams on that list are big market teams, including the Bulls and Knicks. It’s the rebuild and young core and the big market connection that would bring LeBron to the Windy City.
