Ryan Arcidiacono — Tyrion Lannister

In the real world, Ryan Arcidiacono probably towers over most of the people he encounters with his 6-foot, 3-inch tall frame. But in the NBA, Arcidiacono has a lot more in common with Westeros’ most famous dwarf – Tyrion Lannister.

Primary ball handlers without much athletic ability are a rarity in the league, yet Arcidiacono is finding his way by doing all the little things right. Tyrion Lannister proudly claims to have two talents: drinking and knowing things. Well, Ryan’s high basketball IQ certainly correlates with one of those talents. It’s important to have complementary pieces to push you in the right direction, whether it’s the Battle of the Blackwater or a battle in the NBA Playoffs.

Wayne Selden — The Night King

First thing’s first, if there’s one thing Wayne Selden and the Night King have in common, it’s certainly got to be their hypnotizing eyes. Seriously, Selden’s eyes even have their own fan-made twitter account.

On a deeper level, however, Selden is similar to the Night King for all the wrong reasons. For eight long seasons, Thrones fans anxiously awaited the arrival of the Night King for the final battle. All season long, Selden was put on a pedestal as a great bench player because it looked like he was doing so many things right.

But at the end of the day, the Night King received a generic villain’s send-off with many questions unanswered. Selden’s 49.1 true shooting percentage and overwhelmingly negative advanced stats may bring his career to an end in Chicago… not with a bang, but a quiet dagger to the heart.

Robin Lopez — Tormund Giantsbane

There’s probably no player in the NBA better suited to filling the role of Tormund Giantsbane than Robin Lopez. The wild hair. The larger than life build. The goofy personality. Lopez checks all the boxes. Robin’s well-documented feud with other teams’ mascots is extremely entertaining, but also very similar to Tormund’s vendetta against the Night’s Watch.

When in battle, Tormund is seen without any body armor, instead opting for a more offensive-centric style. Lopez plays the same way Tormund fights, aggressively and using his larger frame to wear down his opponents. Although Tormund’s surname is Giantsbane, Robin Lopez looks like an actual giant… maybe Tormund even shared some of that milk with Lopez to help him grow so big.
