2. Jrue Holiday
Remember having Justin Holiday? That was pretty weird. However, this is something completely different. Out of the three NBA Holiday brothers, the eldest Justin definitely the worst passer and potentially the worst defender (the case is still out on Aaron).
The middle kid Jrue, on the other hand, is a terrific all-around player; for starters, he averaged 21.2 points, 5 rebounds, and 7.7 assists while shooting 47.2-percent from the floor.
While he played more of a shooting guard role in New Orleans, he’s a nice fit for point guard on a team like the Bulls. He’s a hound-dog defender and a pest of a matchup problem for other guards at 6-foot-4 with plus strength.
Guaranteed to be loved by Jim Boylen, Holiday seems like a nice fit for the Bulls, if they move forward in that direction. If this team wants to make the playoffs next season, Holiday is a guy capable of driving that bus.
Snubbed of an All-Star Game appearance since 2013, when he was with the Philadelphia 76ers, Holiday could establish himself as one of the best players in the Eastern Conference.
Now, all of this is contingent upon the New Orleans Pelicans interest in rebuilding. With new GM David Griffin in place, the Anthony Davis trade situation a bit blurry for the time being. Until there’s movement on the Davis front, it’s unlikely the Pels will trade Holiday.
