4. Portland Trail Blazers

Putting together a roster that features the former Chicago Bulls standout Jimmy Butler with the Portland Trail Blazers backcourt has lethal potential. You could already put together a valid argument that Portland has one of the NBA’s three best backcourts this season.

The trio of point guard Damian Lillard, shooting guard C.J. McCollum, and Jimmy Butler at small forward could become a Portland fan’s dream. That group could also give the Blazers one of the top big three’s in the Western Conference for next season. A team that likes to run with small-ball lineups at times could also use Butler to add to the frontcourt rotation.

Portland is already proving that they can hang with some of the best teams in the West after knocking out the talented Oklahoma City Thunder in just five games. That’s a factor that Butler would have to take notice of right away. The Blazers are currently in a dogfight with the two-seed Denver Nuggets in the second round of the playoffs.

It seems like joining a title contender is a big priority for Butler at the moment as he doesn’t have one yet after attempts with three different teams. His luck with the Sixers this season might be different, but joining Portland could give him the boost he needs to reach that marker. The Blazers front office would have to move a few pieces around, but this is a good landing spot for Butler.
