Wendell Carter Jr. = Ryan Howard

I feel bad doing this to Wendell Carter Jr.

Ryan Howard is a relatively unlikeable character for a large chunk of the show. He’s arrogant, rude and selfish – all things that in no way, shape or form describe Wendell Carter Jr. But pre-promotion Ryan has a lot of similarities to Carter, so this comparison is strictly looking at Ryan before all the crazy shenanigans (you know, like getting arrested for fraud or intentionally giving his baby an allergic reaction so he can talk to Kelly).

When Ryan gets a job at Dunder Mifflin, he’s a young up-and-comer with big dreams. Unfortunately for him, he joins a crazy, unstable workplace led by some questionable, problematic management.

(Don’t say it…)

(Don’t say it…)

(Fine, say it.)

Sort of like the Bulls!

Poor Wendell Carter Jr. had to be drafted by a franchise that would fire their head coach before Christmas (with no good reason) and replace him with a guy that would have the team in headlines for multiple weeks (not good headlines). Hopefully, the Bulls can turn their franchise around before Wendell leaves for a corporate position (not all analogies work).

Plus, if there was one guy on the Bulls who would start a fire in the locker room because he burned a pita in the toaster oven, it would have to be Carter, right?
