Signed FA Walt Lemon Jr. to Contract for Rest of 2019 (Six Games)

Walt Lemon Jr. was an exciting flash in an otherwise disappointing Bulls season in 2019. Having only five NBA games under his belt at the age of 26, the Bulls signed Lemon for the remaining six games of the 2019 season. Lemon came up from the Bulls’ G League affiliate and put on a show, averaging 14.3 points, five assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals on 43.7% shooting from the field and 40% from deep.

Lemon was fun while he lasted, but it is unlikely he ends up receiving an NBA contract from the Bulls, but a two-way deal may not be impossible. Lemon’s time in Chicago was more important as pertaining to bringing excitement to the fans than it was to aid the future.

In whole, 2018-19 was a step in the right direction for Chicago. With another high lottery pick on the way, young talent and player development, Chicago fans have something to be excited about in 2019-2020.
