Specific quotes to note

An interesting particular tidbit from this interview between Lonzo Ball and the House of Highlights was the mention of how well he plays against the Charlotte Hornets. Lonzo even mentioned at one point that “Nic Batum can’t jump” when referring to his previous success with the Hornets and some highlights around the rim in particular.

Another interesting point from Lonzo was the mentioning of how disappointed he was that he didn’t get to play with the Lakers this season in Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks. Since that is an emerging possible landing spot for him since prior to the deadline, that could be something to watch moving forward.

All eyes on Lonzo this summer will fall on where he could possibly land if the Lakers front office doesn’t want him around anymore. If the Chicago Bulls continue to hang around in the discussion, it is worth watching what the front office would offer up in return for him. The Bulls do need a point guard, but it’s not worth giving up too much for Lonzo.

The storyline will continue to linger regarding Ball and big market teams like the Bulls having previous trade framework in place to bring him to the Windy City. The Knicks is another possible spot for him to land if the trade lines up in the right fashion. Rebuilding big market teams in the Eastern Conference seem to fit his intentions well.
