Although the Chicago Bulls season has already reached its disappointing conclusion, some desirable upcoming free agents are still battling in the playoffs.

Most Chicago Bulls fans entered the season with an unfortunate awareness that the year would be dedicated to player development instead of tangible results. However, watching the Chicago Bulls crater to the bottom of the league– failing to even meet the paltry 30-win expectation placed on their shoulders by Vegas– can be a harsh reality to accept.

For a team that’s made the playoffs 11 times since 2005, watching games from the couch in April instead of playing in them may seem like a completely foreign experience. It may seem like a consolation prize, but there’s still plenty reason for Bulls fans to tune into this year’s NBA Playoffs.

Many of the NBA’s most competitive teams have key pieces set to enter free agency this summer. Considering the current iteration of the Chicago Bulls are severely lacking in veteran presence and postseason experience, they’d be wise to expend their cap space on these proven leaders.

With an approximate 19.5 million dollars of projected cap space, the Bulls won’t be able to pursue the highest tier of free agents, such as Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, or Jimmy Butler. It does however, grant Chicago enough financial flexibility to add multiple role players to solidify the rotation.

Let’s explore a few of the most interesting options the Chicago Bulls will have when it comes to start signing contracts and putting new faces in red and white jerseys.
