13. Celtics (via SAC.)- Bol Bol, C, Oregon
Stock Trend from Pre-Tournament Mock: +2
Boston is in a rare situation in which a contender has a lottery pick, not to mention two more first rounders in the twenties. Because of this, Boston can afford to take a big swing and risk striking out, which is exactly what they do in taking Bol.
With an immense ceiling, the team may see him as a potential heir to the aging Al Horford. However, Bol’s injury-prone frame causes for serious concern, as he missed nearly all of his freshman season with a foot injury.
14. Hornets- Brandon Clarke, F, Gonzaga
Stock Trend from Pre-Tournament Mock: +7
Brandon Clarke had one of the best NCAA Tournaments of anyone in college basketball. Subsequently, Clarke has boosted himself into conversation for a top-twenty pick.
His height and rebounding at the small forward position are special, and he can score at a very efficient rate. Defensively, Clarke is also phenomenal. With Nic Batum aging, Michael Jordan drafts Clarke to become the small forward of the future.
