9. Grizzlies- Nassir Little, F, North Carolina
Stock Trend from Pre-Tournament Mock: +/- 0
This season has been a nightmare for Memphis. The team started the season as one of the top teams in the West and made a trade for Justin Holiday to boost contention. The train then went off the rails for Memphis, and as their playoff hopes dissipated, they moved Marc Gasol for peanuts, and finished in poor lottery position.
There is really no clear pick here, but Nassir had a really good tournament and gave us a glimpse of what he may be able to be at the next level. Little is a very high-ceiling player and also fills a positional need at the small forward spot. The Grizzlies gamble on talent here, hoping Little can become a Kawhi Leonard-type player.
10. Timberwolves- Rui Hachimura, F, Gonzaga
Stock Trend from Pre-Tournament Mock: +1
The Wolves threw their rebuild way back with the Jimmy Butler mess, as they traded away incredible young assets for Butler just to trade him a little over a year later for role players. With Hachimura, they get a talented young piece for the future, but also a player who is ready to contribute immediately.
Minnesota will almost certainly not make the playoffs in 2020, but Hachimura should make their win total increase a bit, while also giving the team a long-term replacement for Taj Gibson.
