33. 76ers (via CLE.)- Carsen Edwards, G, Purdue

Stock Trend from Pre-Tournament Mock: n/a

Carsen Edward’s NCAA Tournament caused him to fly up draft boards into a fringe first-round pick. The 6-foot-1 point from Purdue recorded averages of 24.3 points per game, 2.9 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 steals on 39 percent shooting from the field and 35.5 percent shooting from three in his junior season.

Edwards’ volume scoring was on show in the NCAA Tournament, as he put up over 40 points twice. Concerns for Edwards include his height and shot selection, but his tournament performance and scoring totals will surely make him a lock to be drafted. Edwards provides Philadelphia with a filler for the void left by Markelle Fultz and also much needed floor spacing.

34. 76ers (via CHI.)- Matisse Thybulle, G, Washington

Stock Trend from Pre-Tournament Mock: n/a

Thybulle’s offensive numbers don’t exactly jump off of the page. He averaged single digit scoring on 41% shooting, and is not a prolific floor spacer, passer, nor rebounder. Thybulle is not being drafted for his offensive skillset, but rather for his stifling defense.

In his senior season at Washington, he averaged 3.5 steals and 2.5 blocks, while being named the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year. At 6ft 5, these totals are unbelievable. Thybulle will provide a great defensive boost off of Philadelphia’s bench, and who better to learn from than a player with a very similar scouting report coming into the NBA: Jimmy Butler.
