A drop down the boards for the lottery in the 2019 NBA Draft for the Chicago Bulls could lead to selecting Texas Tech SG Jarrett Culver.

The NCAA Tournament is a time that can bring a lot of intriguing NBA Draft storylines and prospects to the forefront. And, while this isn’t a very exciting March Madness and NCAA Tournament thus far in terms of upsets, there are some fun NBA Draft prospects standing out. Among those big time NBA Draft prospects standing out is the star wing of the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Jarrett Culver.

A solid target to keep in mind for the lottery for the 2019 NBA Draft for the Chicago Bulls, Jarrett Culver could help this rotation build up some depth and add another quality talent to the mix. The surprising part about Jarrett Culver is that he is somewhat flying under the radar with the way that he and Texas Tech looks in the NCAA Tournament.

Texas Tech, as a three-seed, just knocked a stingy six-seed with the Buffalo Bulls in the Round of 32. It wasn’t really close either. That game went in the favor of Texas Tech by the final score of 78-58.

The showing that Jarrett Culver had in the Round of 64 for the Red Raiders in the NCAA Tournament was absolutely sparkling. He posted a game-high 29 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists to help Texas Tech gain the opening round win over the 14-seed Northern Kentucky.

Culver wasn’t as good statistically in the Round of 32 win over Buffalo, but he did still post 16 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and three blocks. By really any consideration, that is a huge performance against a solid team like Buffalo in the “Big Dance”.

It will be a difficult test for the Red Raiders in the Sweet 16 now, facing up against the two-seed Michigan Wolverines as a two-point underdog on March 28. The road won’t be easy for Culver and Texas Tech from here on out. Given the lack of upsets in the NCAA Tournament thus far, a three-seed like Texas Tech won’t get any breaks in the Sweet 16 or Elite 8.

In fact, all four of the one seeds are still left in the NCAA Tournament field at this point. The Duke Blue Devils nearly fell short against the UCF Knights to end the weekend. But, the Blue Devils did manage to hold on to advance and face the four-seed Virginia Tech Hokies in the Sweet 16.

However, the point here is that Culver is a fantastic fit for the Bulls if his stock continues to rise. If this lottery isn’t friendly to the Bulls either, then landing someone like Culver wouldn’t be the worst way to go when it’s all said and done.

Culver will look to continue his standout string of performances against Michigan in the Sweet 16 as he’s averaging more than 20 points per game through the NCAA Tournament thus far. This 6-foot-6 and 200 pound shooting guard would be a fantastic add for the Bulls as he’s posting an insane player efficiency rating above 26 this season and around 19.0 points per game. He would help add a new dynamic to this building Bulls offense.
