Case for Ja Morant

If the Chicago Bulls can get the most of the point guard pairing that features Kris Dunn and Ryan Arcidiacono, then the need to add to the position this summer becomes less dire. But, the indications right now are that the Bulls need a lot of help in the point guard rotation, and can’t make forward with the three in the fold right now.

Even with the way that Shaquille Harrison is stepping up of late, the Bulls need something else to guide the future of this franchise. Harrison and Arcidiacono could be solid “bargain bin” options for the Bulls to re-sign this off-season, but Dunn would be more of an investment for the significant future.

However, Morant would be a quick fix for the Bulls and bring a new level of excitement to the rotation. Morant is a versatile point guard that showed he can improve his shooting ability from the outside this season. The Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year improved his shooting from beyond the arc from 30.7 percent as a freshman to 36.3 percent this season.

Morant also finished out the 2018-19 campaign with an absolutely sparkling player efficiency rating of 31.6. He is a dynamic 6-foot-3 and 175 point guard that would command the floor and boost the offense for the Bulls. Morant can live above the rim and have an impact on both ends of the floor for the Bulls.
