15: Boston Celtics- Bol Bol. C, Oregon
As a contending team with a top 15 pick, Danny Ainge goes for a hail-Mary here and takes Bol Bol. His numbers in his nine games in college were very impressive, at 21 points and 9 rebounds per game on 56 percent from the field and 53 percent from three.
He also added nearly three blocks per game along with 0.8 steals. Standing at 7-foot-3 and 235 lpounds, his frame is a massive advantage and a massive disadvantage.
Obviously, any team would love to have that massive of a player on the court. However, his movements on the floor seem very awkward due to his enormous size. His extremely skinny frame cause concern for nagging injuries, such as the one that sidelined him for nearly his entire freshman season. Nonetheless, Boston may as well take a shot on him if he is still available with one of their first-round picks.
16: Brooklyn Nets- Daniel Gafford, F, Arkansas
Finally, the Nets have their own first round pick. Even more exciting than this, the Nets are currently sitting in a playoff spot in the East. To help boost them even higher in the conference next season, they take Gafford out of Arkansas, a solid two-way forward.
In his sophomore season, he averaged 16.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 1.9 blocks on 66 percent from the field. Gafford has good size for his position, standing at 6-foot-11 and weighing in at 233 pounds.
He defends and rebounds well, while also operating nicely in the post. However, his shooting is very concerning. He has never attempted a three-point shot in two years of college basketball and shot 59 percent from the stripe this year. He also turns the ball over quite a bit, 2.4 per contest, while averaging under one assist per game. However, Gafford is NBA-ready and will slide in nicely in an up-and-coming Nets roster.
