27: Denver Nuggets- Grant Williams, F, Tennessee
Here, the reigning back-to-back SEC player of the year lands in the mile-high city. Williams would make a nice replacement for the aging Paul Millsap, whose team option is almost surely to not be extended due to his insane salary.
Not to say that Millsap won’t come back on a team-friendly deal, but he is surely not the future there. Williams works here because he is an experienced player who has been on winning teams in Tennessee. In his junior season, he averaged 19 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.1 steals. It can be argued that he is in the Millsap-mold, as a strong two-way player.
However, his size may be a question at his position, standing at only 6-foot-7. Williams should plug in as an ideal fit in Denver.
28: Golden State Warriors- Charles Bassey, C, Western Kentucky
With the Warriors luck, Bassey will turn out to be exactly the player he was once thought to be in high school. As a top prospect in the high school class of 2018, Bassey took a surprising turn and went to a smaller school, which he has found success in.
On the contrary, the world has appeared to forgotten about the once highly-prized player. With DeMarcus Cousins on an expiring deal and no real option to replace him, Bassey is more than a perfect fit for the Warriors, as they receive an unbelievably high-ceiling player while also filling a need.
This season Bassey has averaged 14.6 points and 10 rebounds on 62.7 percent shooting and 45 percent from deep. His three point numbers are deceiving, however, as he almost never takes those shots. Bassey to Golden State is a scary thought.
