Tre Jones is one of the most underrated dudes in college basketball. Sure, he’s playing next to Zion Williamson, R.J. Barrett and Cam Reddish, but the kid deserves more love than he gets.

Tre is the younger brother of Minnesota Timberwolves guard Tyus Jones, and like Tyus, Tre has a bright future in the NBA.

Jones is an elite defender (one of the best perimeter defenders in the country), he’s extremely unselfish, he can score from midrange and he does a nice job of setting the table for his hungry teammates. The biggest concerns with Jones are his size and deep shooting ability. On the season, he’s shooting an extremely poor 24.7 percent from 3-point land on 2.7 attempts per game. That has to improve if he wants to be a starting point guard at the next level.

Jones’ game management skills, though, take away a lot of worries about his shooting stroke. His 3.53 assist-to-turnover ratio is extremely impressive.

If Duke makes a deep run in the tournament (hint: they probably will), make sure to keep an eye on Tre Jones.
