1. Ja Morant

  • School: Murray State University
  • Height: 6’3″
  • Weight: 174 lbs.
  • Age: 19

Who else could be No. 1 on this list? Ja Morant is arguably the most exciting NBA prospect not named Zion Williamson, and he’s definitely the most exciting point guard in the NCAA Tournament. From flashy dunks to no-look passes, this kid can do everything. Well, almost everything.

Morant struggles to shoot the ball from deep (33.6 percent on 4.8 attempts per game this season), and his wiry frame leaves little excitement from me about his defensive upside. He’ll bulk up in the NBA, though, so maybe defensive improvement will come with improved strength. He’s also a good free throw shooter (81.0 percent on 8.3 attempts per game this season), so maybe the 3-ball will develop later as well.

Even with his struggles, though, Morant is the best point guard in college basketball. On the season, he’s averaging a ridiculous 24.6 points, 10.0 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game. He’s a walking highlight reel ready to explode at any given moment.

If there’s one point guard Bulls fans need to watch in the NCAA Tournament, it’s Ja Morant.
