How much better could it get in the NCAA Tournament for college hoops and NBA fans alike than watching the Duke superstar, and likely the nation’s best player, Zion Williamson compete for a national title. Duke is the one-seed in the East Region set to take on either NC Central or North Dakota State in the Round of 64.

The real test for Zion and Duke would begin in the Round of 32 either against the eight-seed VCU Rams or nine-seed UCF Knights. And, the aforementioned two-seed Michigan State is also one of the hotter teams in the East Region coming into the NCAA Tournament. Zion will need to show out if Duke is to reach the point of the Sweet 16 or Elite 8.

In general, Zion will need to show that he can compete against some of the nation’s best veteran talents when it matters most. Quite a few fans counted Zion out for the rest of the season after he injured his knee on a where break through his shoe in the first meeting between Duke and North Carolina.

However, if the Chicago Bulls are presented with the opportunity to selected Zion with the first overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Jon Paxson and Gar Forman need to pull the trigger. The Bulls don’t have a huge need to add a power forward beyond Markkanen, but no franchise should pass up the opportunity to select Zion.
