What the Chicago Bulls are planning to do with the second round 2019 NBA Draft selection is still up in the air since they’re so many needs for this team beyond the starting five. The back court does need a big boost, but so does the front court depending on what happens in the contact situation this summer with center Robin Lopez.

Between what the Bulls have with rookie center Wendell Carter Jr. and second-year power forward Lauri Markkanen, there is not a huge need for a dynamic need in the first round of this draft. But, the Bulls need to add some depth in the front court to take some of the load off Carter Jr. and Markkanen for the future.

If the Bulls do decide with a draft strategy to go guard in the first round and a big man in the second, looking no further than Villanova Wildcats athletic power forward Eric Paschall makes a ton of sense. Paschall is set to take the court with Villanova looking for year another national title under head coach Jay Wright as a six-seed.

Paschall also comes into the NCAA Tournament as one of Villanova’s most potent talents, with a player efficiency rating above 19. A team like the Bulls will be watching for Paschall to show that he can improve his three-point shooting ability, effort in hitting the glass, and efficiency to minimize turnovers. He’ll start against the 11-seed Saint Mary’s in the Round of 64.
