Impact his return brings

The leading scorer for the Chicago Bulls this season is very outspoken as to what he could bring and why he wants to come back to the lineup so soon in the first place. He told Mike McGraw that fans “might see me playing in LA” when the Bulls travel to face the Los Angeles Clippers on NBA TV on March 15.

It’s hard to picture a player that fights as hard as LaVine game in and game out giving way to not playing in this game. He’ll get the shot to spoil some of the playoff seeding for the Clippers and slow the roll of a hot team in the Western Conference in general. The Bulls also have a dozen regular season games remaining following the matchup with the Clippers.

It seems like this point of the regular season actually moved by pretty fast. With how abysmal the Bulls were for some larger stretches of the early portion of the regular season, especially in late November and December, this improvement is a very welcome sight. That was helped by some career scoring efforts lately.

The fact that LaVine is also one of the East’s leading scorers out of the All-Star Break doesn’t hurt his stock to return either. He is now averaging just under 24 points per game 4.6 rebounds, and 4.4 assists. If and when LaVine returns for the Bulls, the biggest scoring spark this team has will be back active.
