A career year thus far for the Chicago Bulls breakthrough fifth-year shooting guard Zach LaVine comes via his electric scoring ability.

This was a career year so far for the Chicago Bulls rising star shooting guard Zach LaVine without a doubt. For much of his brief time with the Minnesota Timberwolves, we started to see a natural scoring ability emerge from LaVine. But, he didn’t show anything like what he’s doing now with the Chicago Bulls while he was playing in Minnesota.

However, LaVine is a special talent that could be widely considered the NBA’s best dunker. In this day and age, it’s rare to see a scheme ran like head coach Jim Boylen does with the Chicago Bulls. Boylen relies heavily on LaVine’s ability to create offense, but he doesn’t like to keep him is the primary point guard and floor general.

In the nationally televised win for the Chicago Bulls over the Philadelphia 76ers, LaVine posted a game-high 39 points. LaVine helped outdo the former Bull Jimmy Butler, who had 22 points two days ago, by also adding five boards, four assists, and one steal.

The ups and downs of this 2018-19 regular season for the Chicago Bulls were largely sparked by the play of LaVine. When he managed to post just 12 points in a March 3 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, we got to see what happens when the scoring pace isn’t through the roof.

Here’s a deeper dive into the numbers behind the torrid scoring season for Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine as he continues to make this team somewhat competitive out of the All-Star Break.
