Chicago Bulls: Player grades through the All-Star break

The Bulls acquired Otto Porter Jr. via trade in early February and it immediately left a lot of Bulls fans scratching their heads. Sure, Porter makes the Bulls a better team, but is that a good thing?
The Bulls currently have the fourth-worst record in the NBA and their chances of landing Duke’s Zion Williamson seem to be more of a longshot than ever before.
But none of that should be on the mind of Otto Porter Jr. His job is to go out and play the best basketball he can for a team that desperately needs help, and he’s doing dang well thus far.
Since being traded to Chicago, Porter is averaging 22.5 points per game on an absurd 62.1 percent shooting from the field and 57.9 percent shooting from deep. It’s lot likely that he’ll be able to keep up that same level of efficiency for much longer. Eventually, he’ll come back to Earth. But until then – let it fly, Otto!
We’re looking at a small sample size (four games), so it’s important to take Porter’s play with a grain of salt. With all that being said, though, the Bulls look like a completely different team when Otto’s on the floor. They actually look fun. What a concept!
Sure, Otto wasn’t having a great season with the Wizards, but who cares? He’s on the Bulls now. Let’s throw out the 41 games he played with Washington this season and only grade Otto on his play as a member of the Chicago Bulls.
