3. Otto Porter Jr. keeps shooting better than 50 percent from three-point range this month

What Otto Porter Jr. has done for the Chicago Bulls since coming over from the Washington Wizards is nothing short of incredible. The Bulls front office actually made a very good move to acquire Porter Jr. from the Wizards in exchange for the pair of young forwards Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker.

In terms of playing being able to make an immediate difference for a team, Porter Jr. is doing about as much as he can in the Windy City through just a handful of games. The issue for Porter Jr. is that the Bulls aren’t even as close to a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference as the Wizards were when he was shipped out.

Before the All-Star Break commenced this past weekend, Porter Jr.’s career night against the Memphis Grizzlies at home at the United Center gave this team a lot of momentum. And, while the goal for the Bulls at this point of the regular season isn’t to rack up more wins, the spark offensively Porter Jr. is providing is a positive sign for the future.

Moreover, one of the most important numbers for Porter Jr. since joining the Bulls is the three-point shooting percentage he has through four games at 58 percent. He’s also shooting 62 percent from the field in general. He doesn’t have any games with less than 17.0 points donning a Bulls uniform yet. He’s on a good enough streak that it should hold through the end of the month of February in terms of shooting better than 50 percent from beyond the arc.
