1. Jolt the fan base needs

The impact that Zion Williamson would have for the Bulls on the court would truly be something special to witness, but energizing this drowning fan base is a much needed effect too. The United Center isn’t the best place to witness quality basketball now with how the Bulls are falling off in the East.

However, this Bulls team seems to be in full rebuild mode, and this is what can happen when that time comes. Getting the opportunity to select Zion would immediately shorten the rebuild process for this front office and bring possibly the most polarizing NBA Draft prospect in this league’s history to town.

Zion is posting historic numbers and some of the most entertaining and polarizing highlights of any player that ever rolled through the blue blood hoops program that is Duke. The hype around Zion was summed up this past weekend when even LeBron was in attendance in Charlottesville as Duke downed the Virginia Cavaliers by a double-digit margin at John-Paul Jones Arena.

The excitement building in the Windy City for whatever this 2019 NBA Draft has to promise could help this franchise make some significant strides forward this off-season. Even if a Zion selection isn’t looming in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft for the Bulls, any number of prospects like Duke forward R.J. Barrett, Murray State guard Ja Morant, or UNC guard Nassir Little could be picked.
