Starting back court/wing
We’ll start this part off with the grade for the newly acquired Chicago Bulls wing Porter Jr. With a well-rounded performance that will continue to allow him to average more than 17.0 points per game in his short time with the Bulls, Porter Jr. was one of the brighter spots. He posted 18 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. The only downside was his four turnovers.
Otto Porter Jr. Grade: B+
The actual back court for the Bulls was a very inconsistent performance through and through. The good part of this up and down back court outing was with shooting guard Zach LaVine, who posted a team-high 27 points. LaVine also managed seven assists, five rebounds, one block, and one steal. If not for his four personal fouls, LaVine could’ve probably gotten around at least 30 points on the game.
Zach LaVine Grade: A
Now comes the bad part of the starting back court for the Bulls in this disappointing result against the Bucks. Point guard Kris Dunn showed us all why the Bulls need to find a more capable offensive answer to facilitate the starting five.
But, even by the sub par offensive standards that Dunn usually set for himself night in and night out this was a big letdown. He registered a measly two points in 33 minutes on the floor. He went 1-of-9 from the field and had just as many turnovers as points. It wasn’t the greatest defensive outing either for Dunn.
