Zach Randolph. 2. player. 24. . Power Forward. 16.6 PPG*

The aspect of bringing a veteran presence into the locker room for the Chicago Bulls would be the main appeal of power forward Zach Randolph. Also, it would be a lot of fun to watch a player with the skill set and entertainment factor of Randolph suiting up and playing in the Windy City sometime soon.

There’s no point for the Bulls to bring in a physical presence in the paint like Randolph to help them get into the playoff picture this season or next. If the Bulls were in the playoff picture somehow next season, Randolph would be a valuable addition, though. That is looking too far ahead for where the front office’s mindset should be at right now.

What Randolph could also help out with is the development of two of the most promising big men in Chicago. Second-year rising forward Lauri Markkanen could be a star in the NBA soon, but he does need some work to round out his game. Rookie center Wendell Carter Jr. could really benefit from Randolph helping him develop too.

The two time NBA All-Star and one time All-NBA Team honoree Randolph is one of the most accomplished veterans that you will ever find on the buyout market. That just shows how deep this buyout market is following this past deadline. Randolph holds a similar scenario to Ellington in that it’s worth exploring for the Bulls if many other contenders aren’t interested.
