24. . Shooting Guard. 8.4 PPG. Wayne Ellington. 3. player

This would by no means be a long-term fix for the Chicago Bulls anywhere in the lineup if the team could acquire the sharpshooting shooting guard Wayne Ellington. Any player that can barely get his player efficiency rating over 11 this season, and in his career in general, isn’t a great fit for a rebuilding team like the Bulls.

However, what Ellington could bring to the table for the Bulls is a temporary fix to a lineup that could use some direction and veteran leadership to round out this down regular season. The Bulls do have quite a few good pieces in place to build a contender in the East, and Ellington’s veteran presence could help out this locker room that was in turmoil at some points this season.

Ellington spent the last few years, before he was bought out, in the East with the Miami Heat. His run in 2018-19 saw him put up some of the lowest averages of his career. There are aspects of Ellington’s game that still provides value in today’s style of play in the NBA. His deep shooting ability and low turnover percentage are positive things that he could bring.

A down season with the Heat still saw Ellington shoot better than 36 percent from beyond the arc. His career average from three-point range sits at 38 percent, which is much better than the league average. If the Bulls could bring Ellington into the mix for a year or two on a bargain bin deal, it could be worth a look.
