Is there any bearing that the Chicago Bulls could have to actually bringing in some valuable talent off the buyout market?

The Chicago Bulls are putting together a roster for the future that the front office is hoping can contend in the Eastern Conference in the near future. If the Chicago Bulls want to contend in the East soon, it will need to build some young pieces that fit well together in a conference that seems to be wide open right now.

For the Eastern Conference title in 2018-19, there isn’t a single team that looks like an obvious candidate at this point of the regular season. The list of teams that could represent the East in the NBA Finals is pretty lengthy. It includes some combination of teams like the Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Indiana Pacers.

Meanwhile, at the bottom of the standings in the East the Chicago Bulls are battling it out for the best odds to get the top slot in the draft lottery along with the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers. Even the Atlanta Hawks are in position to possibly gain the best odds in the East to win the lottery.

At this moment, the Chicago Bulls sit in 13th place in the East with a record of 13-43. The front office did make one big move at the deadline to deal out forwards Jabari Parker and Bobby Portis for a return of small forward Otto Porter Jr. The Bulls could also be planning to buy out veteran center Robin Lopez in due time.

Here’s a look at the three players in the NBA that were recently bought out that are worth pursuing for the Chicago Bulls after the passing of the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline.
