Maybe a bit of a shocker, but the Bulls should make the trip down Tobacco Road and go see another Cam. Cameron Johnson at the University of North Carolina has been one of the best wing shooters in the country. Johnson is shooting 46% (on 5.3 attempts Per Game!) from 3. He’s also a career 81% shooter from the line so It’s likely his shooting will translate to the next level.

The Bulls are currently 20th in shooting percentage and 26th in attempts per game in the NBA. In order to win in today’s NBA, you need to have shooters. Aside from LaVine, Lauri, and Denzel, the Bulls lack quality 3pt shooters which make it easier to pack the paint on LaVine or Markkanen drives to the basket (especially in this pre-historic offense that Boylen runs). Johnson has solid enough lateral quickness so that he won’t be a liability on Defense as well.

Acquiring a shooter like Johnson would be a big step in the right direction for the makeup of this Bulls roster. That’s the biggest thing with Cameron Johnson. He allows the Bulls to switch on defense and be a threat on offense. A role player like that with that type of two-way versatility is extremely important for the back-end of the roster.
