2. Wendell Carter Jr.

Words can’t begin to describe how happy Bulls fans should be with Wendell Carter Jr. Sure, he’s struggled a little here and there, but he’s only 19 years old and he won’t turn 20 until April 16.

So far in the 2018-19 season, Carter is averaging 10.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game on 45.7 percent shooting from the field and 21.7 percent shooting from 3-point range.

The first thing that jumps out to me from that stat line is his abysmal 3-point percentage. For a guy that was supposed to be able to stretch the floor, he’s not doing a great job of knocking down deep shots. The good news for Bulls fans, though, is that’s the only real knock on his game right now, and I would be shocked if that percentage doesn’t improve drastically at some point.

Other than his shooting from deep, Wendell has been fantastic. He’s a great rim protector, he’s phenomenal in pick-and-roll defense, he can score down low, he has great vision and he’s incredibly unselfish.

Carter’s ability to have a huge impact on the game without scoring many points is something that every NBA team desperately wants.

Look out, folks. Wendell Carter Jr. is here to stay.
