There were a lot of people that didn’t like when the Chicago Bulls gave Zach LaVine $78 million. Every game LaVine continues to make those haters look silly.
It’s time to put some respect on his name. LaVine is putting the league on notice.
What a start to the season for the 23-year-old.
Playing in “The World’s Most Famous Arena,” Zach LaVine put on a show, as he dropped a career high 41 points against the New York Knicks.
The Chicago Bulls and the New York Knicks headed to double overtime when LaVine decided to take over the game. He scored all of the Bulls eight points in double overtime to give the Bulls a 116-115 win.
Zach has now scored 20 or more points in each game this season. The man has literally showed up every game, and has delivered for this team.
The Bulls have started their 2018-2019 season losing eight of their first 11 games, but LaVine’s play has been a bright spot. He’s playing at a all-star level.
11 games into the season and LaVine has looked aggressive, and has played with a lot of confidence. He’s averaging 27.9 points, five rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.
One thing that shouldn’t go unnoticed is how many times LaVine is getting to the free throw line a game. He’s currently averaging 8.3 free throw attempts per game. From game one, LaVine has been in full attack mode.
Zach LaVine has the mentality that no one in the NBA can stop him. The man is playing on another level this season. He’s showing that he can be that guy on the Bulls. Speed kills, and LaVine is playing with a lot of speed. He’s quickness to get to the hoop is unbelievable.
After the Knicks game, Zach LaVine said via the Chicago Sun-Times that he “wants to be known as one of the best players in the NBA.”
Zach is well on his way to making that true.
I just love the way he’s been playing this season. Ever since LaVine signed his big contact in the offseason, there has been a lot of pressure on him. He’s been worth every penny.
I think LaVine is the best shooting guard in the Eastern Conference. The man is on a mission. This is just the beginning. If he continues to stay healthy, then watch out because he has the potential of becoming a superstar. He has all the tools to take that next step.
I remember when people were debating on whether or not the Bulls should match the Kings offer for Zach LaVine. Those people look really silly right now.
