The Chicago Bulls had another tough loss in the 2018 preseason. Here are 3 takeaways from the poor showing against the Hornets.
The Chicago Bulls traveled to North Carolina to take on the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night. The Bulls looked… bad.
For the third straight game, the Bulls’ defense put up little, if any, resistance. Yes, it’s just preseason, but this is a pretty clear indication of what’s to come during the regular season.
I won’t use one of the 3 takeaways talking about how bad their defense is because that could really be a takeaway for every game going forward.
Spoiler alert: their defense won’t get much better.
I hope I’m wrong, but they just haven’t shown any reason for me to believe that they’ll improve on that end of the floor.
In all 3 of the Bulls’ preseason games, they’ve given up at least 110 points. Keep in mind that a lot of the offenses they’ve faced have been a mix of young guys and bench players. I know the Bulls have been experimenting with rosters too, but there’s still no reason for them to be giving up that many points in the preseason.
